Join our paragliding school to learn to fly or improve your skills!
With 25 years of experience, the “Les Volatiles” school and its entire team offer courses adapted to all levels, whether you are a complete beginner or already experienced in paragliding.
Our courses are supervised by qualified instructors approved by the French Free Flight Federation.
Thanks to their experience and their teaching methods, they will be able to support you and give you the right advice to achieve your objectives while optimizing your progress.
You will evolve in an exceptional setting, that of the diamond area, between Beaufortain and Val d’Arly, in Savoie, facing the Mont-Blanc massif.
A compulsory license will be offered to you, annual, or for a limited period. A medical certificate validating the practice is mandatory and valid for 2 years.
Also note that “Les Volatiles” is also a club of active paragliders, whose members include a triple French champion. The club is also open to new members so don’t hesitate, take off!

The course
Our introductory course is supervised by professional instructors.
They will first introduce you to the control of your wing on flat ground, this stage is that of “inflation”.
You will quickly go to the school slope, to make your first “flea jumps” and discover the pleasure of taking off with your own legs!
Then, during this course, you will carry out your first major flight, obviously being constantly “guided” by your instructor using a radio.
For who?
To anyone who wants to discover the activity and then stand on their own two feet.
Good physical condition is still recommended.
How should I equip myself?
The ideal is to come with sports clothes, a good pair of sneakers as well as a bottle of water and a snack.
Don’t forget your sunglasses too..

The course
Our advanced training course is supervised by qualified instructors from the French Free Flight Federation.
The goal of this internship is to make you perfectly independent, and also more complete by enriching your “technical background”.
We will take advantage of the calm conditions of the morning to do multiple exercises (rapid descents, different terrain, paths, etc.), but also superb walks along the hills.
Then we will set off to discover new sites, in Beaufortain, the Combe de Savoie, or even on the sites of the Annecy basin, where we will perfect your practice of thermal flying.
The objective is to optimize your flight by following the different lifts, and to understand new approaches and new landing areas.
For who?
You begin to feel comfortable on your favorite site in calm or slightly thermal conditions.
You don’t fly regularly, but you aspire to progress further, want to stay in the air, and discover new sites.
How should I equip myself?
The ideal is to come with sports clothes, a good pair of sneakers as well as a bottle of water and a snack.
Don’t forget your sunglasses too.
Cross
stage
The course
The cross-country course is supervised by our instructors qualified by the French Free Flight Federation.
The aim of the course is to support you in carrying out your first distance flights. The main work is done in the field but also during a theoretical part where points such as the optimization of a route, the pilot’s mentality, meteorology lessons, etc. will be discussed.
To whom is this stage addressed ?
You are completely autonomous during the take-off and landing phases
You have your own equipment, approved and in good flying condition.
Thermal technology no longer holds any secrets for you and you want to pass the 100 km mark.
How should I equip myself?
The ideal is to come with sports clothes, a good pair of sneakers as well as a bottle of water and a snack.
Don’t forget your sunglasses too.
